I am Brit & this is my story
Born and raised on Long Island, NY. Like most New Yorkers, I did the thing where you grow up, go to college (Syracuse, go Orange), and move to the city at 23 thinking you've got it all figured out.
I always knew I was creative, I just didn't know where I belonged. I grew up dreaming about the fashion industry, ended up in beauty for seven years, and I always had to work extra hard. I worked my way from being an assistant in education to becoming the resident graphic designer, website girl, IT girl, and event girl. I did it all and I wouldn't change it for the world. I helped launch Estée Lauder's digital education platform and I am damn proud of it. While I was there, I went back to school for UX and Graphic Design on my own time, taught myself everything I could about websites, and somewhere along the way became the person everyone turned to for that stuff.
By 27, I was already feeling the weight of it all. Burnout hit early and the city felt heavy. Brit Pearl Designs started as a way to breathe again, to express myself and actually help people find their creative flow.
Growing up making trips to upstate New York and spending time outdoors shaped a big part of who I am. I always craved a life where I could be outside, move freely, and let that feed my creativity. When the pandemic hit, I ended up in Colorado and honestly, it changed everything. It brought me happiness, growth, my dog Zoe, and my amazing fiancé. Colorado pushed me athletically in ways I never saw coming and I loved every single minute of it. It also lit a fire under me to hustle harder than ever to protect the life and freedom I had always dreamed of.
Brit Pearl Designs is the result of all of it. The hustle, the pivots, the self-taught grind. I'm a true jack of all trades and I'm proud of that. I can't wait to work with new clients and help businesses grow.
